Yet another great act to roll off the Motown production line; unlike so many of the one-and-done wannabes, the wrecks of whose Motown careers litter the catalogue of the underfunded fifth-string VIP Records label, these guys are absolutely keepers. (8)
490. The Majestics: “The Further You Look, The Less You See”
It’s still a good song, and it still makes for a good record – but the existence of a better previous version means this is reduced to being a bit of a pointless do-over. (5)
489. The Majestics: “Hello Love”
Ultimately I think the good outweighs the bad, but it’s just so strange I can’t give in and love it. (6)
