387. The Miracles: “(You Can’t Let The Boy Overpower) The Man In You”
Not bad, per se, but absolutely nothing special. (4)
Not bad, per se, but absolutely nothing special. (4)
Better than the A-side, even if it’s not the sort of thing I’d play all that often. (4)
Much too rich a dessert for my tastes, but I find it difficult to dislike; it’s just so very, very nice, so determined for you to love it, like a puppy that won’t stop following you around until you pet it. (4)

Beautiful and intriguing, and those are the last words I’d expected to be using to describe a long-forgotten Bobby Breen B-side. (7)
There are a few nice chord changes amid the MOR gloop, and Bobby is at least trying, so it’s not getting a 1 – but it’s still a pretty poor start, all told. (2)
A really good little record, small in scale but beautifully formed. (7)
Ever wanted to know what a Motown cover of “Charlie Had A Pigeon” / “I’m A Little Dutch Girl” would sound like? Wonder no more. (6)
Not utterly horrible, just devoid of passion, wholly unnecessary, and at least five years past its sell-by date. (3)
A shoddy, dated record, and poorly-sung and recorded to boot; not exactly the bottom of the barrel, but you can certainly see it from here. (2)
